Tables and figures have the same structure: A table/figure number, a table/figure title, a body (for tables) or an image (for figures), and table/figure notes (if needed). Any kind of visual that is not a table is considered a figure.
- Number: The table/figure should be numbered sequentially above the table in bold font. Do not use suffix letters (Table 1a, 1b, 1c). Instead, combine the related tables.
- If tables/figures are included in the appendix, identify with capital letters and Arabic numerals (e.g. Table A1, Figure B2).
- Titles appear one double-spaced line below the table number in italic title case
